Every year, Bournemouth University closes it's doors for the festive season. With the need to communicate campus closing times, we also take the opportunity to wish the students a nice break and encourage brand engagement. What started as a bit of fun resulted in great things as the campaigns helped see us win at the PRCA awards.
The website was a useful tool to showcase the winners - but the real gold surfaced through the user generated content. It feels great to help highlight real and honest achievements.
A landing page was required to communicate their "season's greetings" video message and host a wall of tweets for the festive campaign. This was also the perfect opportunity to create a fun and interactive game.
The aim of the game was to control BUD and collect all the falling baubles. Once all the baubles were collected you were rewarded with an animated season's greetings message.
